The Oklahoma City Thunder have thrashed the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 119-103, thanks to their point guard Russell Westbrook, who became just the second player in NBA history to score an absurd triple double with 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists.

After opening up a 6-point lead in the first quarter, OKC closed the first half 59-55 on Tuesday. The hosts then rallied to a 16-point lead going into the fourth quarter and they managed to hold on to their advantage to post a commanding win.

Westbrook clinched the milestone with a rebound in the final minute. This was also his 31st triple-double of the season. Wilt Chamberlain had been the only other player to accomplish what can be called double- triple- double, back in 1968.
