The Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, has said that the players were confident of beating Cameroon in Friday’s Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Ezenwa said the players were abreast with what was at stake which made victory imperative.

He called on Nigerians to expect victory from the match, adding that the team was ready to achieve that.

“Nigerians should expect victory from us because we are determined and are in high spirit to win Cameroon.

“In the goal post, Nigerians should expect the best from me, Akpenyi and Alampasu,’’ the goalkeeper said.

Contributing, Ola Aina, who recently moved from Chelsea FC of England to Hull City, said that he and other players were in good form and very determined to give Nigeria victory.

Aina, who said he was excited playing for Nigeria instead of England, expressed optimism in the capability of the team to win Cameroon.

He said that it was an honor for him to be part of the Super Eagles that would defeat Cameroon.

Meanwhile, Salisu Yusuf, Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles says the team is optimistic of victory over Cameroun in Uyo on Friday.

Yusuf described the super Eagles as a better team in spite of its loss to the South Africans in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in Uyo.

Also, Patrick Paschal, the team’s Coordinator, expressed confidence in the ability of the team to beat Cameroon.
