TELEVISION, AND THE FOOTBALL PALAVER
All said and done, the two FA CUP Semi finals were great displays of the capabilities of the NPFL players and the two matches were good adverts for Nigerian football. Lack of Television coverage have made nonsense of our players’ talents and abilities. With constant live coverage of matches, interest of the fans will be revived and our players strengths, talent, abilities will be showcased to the world.
LEST WE FORGET
We are quick to forget that the heroes of the Super Eagles today like Ahmed Musa was kicking football on the streets of Kano and made his name wearing the shirts of Kano Pillars while many members of the best Super Eagles team we have ever assembled like Daniel Amokachi were in the sands of Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna. Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo were all rough diamonds that played on our land before they went abroad. It’s foolhardy to run around the world and show face as FIFA members while in our Home State, football is devoid of FIFA’s number one instrument – Television. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.. and we hope that this re-election is a wonderful second chance and opportunity for Amaju and his team to rewrite history POSITIVELY
