Only 10 of 21 races have been completed in the 2019 Formula One season, but already Valtteri Bottas is thinking about his future options.
If he has to leave Mercedes then he already knows where he’d like to go.
“If I have to leave Mercedes then I would like to be at the team that is in second place and, at the moment, that is Ferrari,” he told Canal+.
His preference, though, is to stay where he is.
“I would like to extend the contract for next season,” the Finn said.
“I think I’ve proven to the team that I deserve to stay at Mercedes, but we will have to wait a few more races.
“Nothing has been signed yet, but I am trying to keep making progress so that everything should be fine.”
