Arsene Wenger left Japan to coach a club in North London called Arsenal football club. He nurtured the club to greatness and today they remain the ONLY team that went on a 38-match unbeaten run in a single season and in the process won a GOLDEN EPL TROPHY. Sadly the good times have become a mirage and over the years the Professor has been under heavy criticism for lack of trophies, below par performance ,inability to challenge the heavy spenders and wrest the title for more than a decade.
Though the professor is on the last leg of his contract at Arsenal, he has promised to turn things around ,though events don’t point to things changing anytime soon, yet he wants to glory in his achievement of producing players that are internationals in their own right. A look at the countries going to the Mundial in Russia later this year shows that Arsenal as a team has a player in every group from A-H
IN GROUP A
Arsenal has a player Emmanuel Elneny playing for his beloved Egypt. Egypt will play alongside host Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
IN GROUP B
Hector Bellerin will adorn the colour of former champions Spain. Wenger will be glad for this Spaniard who has publicly shown a lot of faith in him regardless of overwhelming lack of top class performances.
IN GROUP C
Arsenals captain fantastic Laurent Koscielny will be at the heart of the defence for his beloved country, the 1998 champions, France. The no-nonsense defender will be up against the likes of Australia, Peru and Denmark.
IN GROUP D
The young Nigerian assassin, who scored the lone goal against Zambia that sealed the Eagles qualification to Russia – Alex Iwobi plies his trade in North London with Arsene Wenger. He is surely one of the prodigious talents that Nigeria will depend on when the Mundial starts.
IN GROUP E
The men from Sepp Blatter’s country will have Roger Federer as their No.1 fan when they file out in Russia in June to cause further upset like they did when they defeated eventual champion in 2010.The Swiss has Granit Dhaka, the hard hitting tackking midfielder on the books of Arsenal fc.
IN GROUP F
The Baby face assassin Ozil, whose lineage flows from Turkey but he represents the defending world cup champions Germany is also one of Arsenals priced assets and he will be a leading light as the German Machines defend their title.
IN GROUP G
Danny Welbeck is a tireless war horse, the boy from Manchester, currently draws his weekly wages from the coffers of the Biggest team in North London-Arsenal. He will be relied upon to produce the goals as a backup or a partner alongside England’s current top scorer.
IN GROUP H
OSPINA the Colombian international was one of the biggest revelation in Brazil 2014. He was part of the south American contingent whose impressive showing caught the attention of the world and such performance earned him a move to Arsenal. He is one to watch out for in Russia
Looking at these guys representing their countries but still on the wage bill of Arsenal, one can only say ARSENAL NA BABA FOR WORLD CUP. WENGER na sabi coach ( he is a good and Influential coach).Wenger needs to be hailed as he has interest in the goings on in every group as it pertains to the progress of this world cup.
