President of the Nigeria Armwrestling Federation Samuel Jackson was on Friday elected as the 1st vice-president of the Armwrestling Federation of Africa at the Congress held at the African Armwrestling Championship in Accra, Ghana.

Former AFA 1st vice-president Whalid Whalid of Libya was removed from the post following his inactivity and ineffectiveness as stated in the AFA Constitution.

The position was then declared vacant by the President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation Charles Ossei and seconded by Nasser of Egypt.

Jackson was consequently elected into the position after he polled six votes.
