New Zealander born Nigerian Israel Adesanya knocked out defending Champion Australian Robert Whittaker to become the undisputed middleweight boxing champion of the world.
In front of a partisan 57,000 fans Adesanya won the fight via a second round knock out of the UFC 243 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The Nigerian-born fighter needed less than two years and seven fights to clinch the middleweight title.“I eat it and I give it back two times. That’s a two-piece right there,” Adesanya said after knocking out Whittaker.
Adesanya has now extended his winning streak to 18 straight wins.
