FRIENDLY MATCHES

The Super Eagles played a 1-1 against DR Congo in their sendforth match at the Adokiye Stadium in PortHarcourt Nigeria, they were handed a 2-1 defeat by the 3 Lions of England in their second friendly game played at the prestigious Wembley Stadium.

The defeat to the Czech Republic in this match shows that we haven’t won any match after the 2-1 victory against the Polish side. Obviously this defeat has lowered expectation on the part of the Nigerian fans in respect of the team’s performance at the Mundial.

KEEP HOPE ALIVE

All hope is not lost and we must remind ourselves that enroute 1998 world cup we lost our friendlies scandalously to the Netherlands and Yugoslavia but we went into the competition winning first 2 matches defeating the inform Spanish team 3-2.

Nigeria’s first game is against the highly technical Croats on June 16 2018.
